Inauguration Ceremony Of Simulation/skill Lab
The Inauguration of Simulation/Skill Lab was held on 8th June 2023 at 3.30 pm in P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi. The program began with invocation song by the students and welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A Moreshwar, Principal, P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi. The Chief Guest, Basavaraj R. Patil, Surgical Oncologist, Chairman, R.B. Patil Hospital, Hubli & Chairman, Karnataka Cancer Therapy & Research Institute, Navanagar, Hubli appreciated the managing committee efforts and support towards nursing profession and also highlighted about the quality of nursing education and scope of nursing services worldwide. Sir appreciated the campus and facilities provided by the management. The Guest of Honor, Dr. Ramesh P. Doddanavar, Managing Director & Consultant Physician, Deccan Medical Center Belagavi elaborated the role and commitments of nurses in hospital and society & also endorsed for the complete utilization of the skill lab to gain hands on skills for providing quality care for the patients. Shri. Vinod S Doddanavar, Secretary, Bharatesh Education Trust, Belagavi advised and motivated the students to make use of the simulation lab at the maximum. In the Presidential remark, Dr. Savitri R Doddanavar, Consultant, Obstetric & Gynecologist & G.C Chairperson, P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi emphasized on simulation-based education not only benefits budding nurses but sharpen their skills without jeopardizing patient safety and patient autonomy. Shri. Bhushan Mirji, Treasurer, Bharatesh education trust, Belagavi stressed on importance of working with commitment & dedication along with acquired skills for the improvement of the society.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Mr. Mahesh M Rebinal, Vice Principal from PDBCN, Halaga, Belagavi. The program was adjourned with national anthem.
The Karnataka State Nursing Council was constituted in the year 1971 under the authority of Karnataka Nurses Midwifes and Health Visitors Act of 1961. The council is an Autonomous statutory registration body for qualified Under graduates, Post graduates, Nurse midwife’s, ANMs and Health Visitors.
The Trained Nurses Association of India is a national organization of nurse professionals at different level. It was established in 1908 and was initially known as association of Nursing Superintendents. The Government of India has recognized TNAI as a service organization in 1950.
The Student Nurses Association popularly known as SNA, is a Nationwide organization of Nursing students. It was established in 1929 at the time of Annual conference of the TNAI in Madras. The main purpose of forming the association by TNAI was to provide vanities to the nursing students to facilitate their all round development and accredited them to join TNAI as qualified nurses.
