The Inauguration ceremony of two days’ workshop on “Research Methodology and Biostatistics” Organized by Department of Community Health Nursing, P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi was held on 22nd January 2019 at 9:00 am. The programme began with welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A Moreshwar, Principal and Convener. The chief guest Dr. Abhinandan Hanji, Surgical Oncologist and Secretary Venugram Hospital Belagavi, elaborated that today, Research is essential to discover, verify, structure and restructure the professional knowledge through systematic enquiry which helps to Build the body of knowledge, Validate improvements in the Profession, Fostering a commitment and accountability, Make health care efficient as well as cost effective and Providing basis for Professionalism in his speech. The Guest of Honor Dr. Ramesh P. Doddanavar, Managing Director, Deccan Medical Centre, Belagavi particularized the need and importance on Research workshop for the Nursing Profession and revealed that organizing the workshop on research methodology will help the nurses to upgrade and bring quality of Nursing Services. Shri. Rajeev S. Doddanavar, Secretary, Bharatesh Education Trust, Belagavi congratulated the organizers of the workshop on Behalf of the Management committee and mentioned the necessity of such workshop to bring the quality in Nursing Care added in the Presidential Remark. Prof. Padmavati S. Badiger, Principal, BIMS, College of Nursing, Belagavi was the Observer form the Karnataka State Nursing Council for the workshop cited the significance of the workshop. Mr. Vijay More, Ex. Mayor, Belagavi, Management and Governing Council Members were witnessed the programme.
The program was adjourned with vote of thanks by Mr. Mahesh Rebinal, Associate Professor and Organizing Secretary from PDBCN, Halaga, Belagavi.
