P.D.Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi had organized six days NSS Special Camp from 24.03.2025 to 29.03.2025 at Dhamane village, Belagavi.
The motto for the camp was “Youth for Clean India”. NSS camp was held under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A. Moreshwar, Principal, P.D.Bharatesh College of Nursing, Belagavi, Prof. Mahesh M Rebinal, NSS Programme Officer, Dept. of Child Health Nursing. The day started with NSS Pledge recitation, Cleanliness drive at Dhamane village, Pamphlet distribution and NSS camp awareness rally to motivate village people to avail the health services given at the NSS special camp.

National Service Scheme is a Nobel experiment in academic expansion. It inculcates the spirit of voluntary work among the students and teachers through sustained community interaction. It brings academic institutions closer to society.NSS Unit of P D Bharatesh College of Nursing has been started in the year 2004, volunteers involve actively in both special camp and regular camp activities. scheme sponsored by Government of India, Financed by both center and state, implemented by universities and through the colleges. We have an active NSS unit from the year 2004 .which does welfare activities in the community. Our students are very enthusiastic to take participate in the community welfare services. The activities which we perform under our NSS banner are: Free health check up’s, Morbidity clinic, Diabetic camps, Aids awareness programme, Blood donation camp, Anganwadi clinic, Rally, etc. Our NSS Unit is recognized by RGUHS and the state NSS.
