Parshwanath Doddanavar Bharatesh College of Nursing organized Lamp Lighting & Oath Taking Ceremony of 18th Batch of B.Sc and 3rdBatch of GNM Nursing students on 30th July 2022 at 11:00 am in Auditorium, Halaga, Belagavi. The programme began with an invocation song by the students and welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A. Moreshwar Principal, highlighted importance of nursing profession and compassion which the nursing personnel carries throughout their life towards sick needy.
Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A. Moreshwar, recited the Nightingale’s Pledge.to the budding nurses.
The lamp lighting ceremony formally recognizes the students’ entry into the nursing profession. It is an important event, where the lamp symbolizes the light that a nurse becomes to her patients and as a symbol of hope.
Chief Guest,Prof. Prasanna Kumar O, Registrar KSNC,Assistant Director (N) Directorate of Medical education, GOK,briefed about the learning & acquiring the basic nursing skills to practice nursing effectively and emphasized more on the etiquettes of nurses , development of skills and personality of emerging nurses.Prof. Prasanna Kumar Owas felicitated for his contribution towards nursing profession.
Guest of HonourShriBhushanMirji, Treasurer, Bharatesh Education Trust, Belagavicongratulated the budding students for choosing the Noble Profession.
The President of the function, Dr. SavitriR. Doddanavar, G C Chairperson,
P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursingaddressed the gathering and motivated the students towards nursing profession by highlighting the existing scope of nursing, its future prospects and encouraged to have adequate knowledge & appropriate training to provide best possible nursing services to the needy.
Mr.Surendra Shahapure, Governing council Member, P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing congratulated the students on this event and blessed them to practice their profession with sincerity and loyalty.
Distinguished invitee’s of Head of Institution of Bharatesh education Trust’s,Belagavi, teaching and non teaching faculties, parents of the budding students witnessed the programme.Mrs.Shridevi S, Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrical & Gynaecological Nursing proposed the vote of thanks. Programme adjourned with National Anthem.
