P.D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga Belagavi celebratedWorld Population Day on 11-07-2018 at Halaga village, Belagavi. The objective of the programme to create the awareness regarding population issues and the ways to Control Population. All the students from the college with teachers conducted rally in the village which involves health education on Various Population control methods,issues of Population raise on Individual, Family, Society and Country.The Halaga Villagers were the beneficiaries of the programme and actively participated in the programme.
Report on Anti-Drug Abuse Day
P D Bharatesh college of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi, Department of Child Health Nursing had organized Anti-Drug Addiction Day on 14/02/2018 at Aucharhatti village. The objectives of the program were to create awareness regarding ill effects of smoking, tobacco chewing, drugs and alcoholism. The health education was given regarding ill effects of smoking, tobacco chewing, drugs and alcoholism and followed by role play. The total number of beneficiaries was 100 people which include children, adolescents and adults.
Report on Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Programme
Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Programme was organized by Child Health Nursing Dept. on 04/12/2017 in Govt. Marathi School,HalagaBelagavi. Health education was given to the students of std.7th,8th, 9th and 10th on the topic ‘Sexual and Reproductive Awareness”. Health education was on menstruation, menstrual hygiene and Sexual and Reproductive Rights.
Report on Under-Five Assessment
P.D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Dept. of Child Health Nursing was organized Under-five Assessment Programme on 4/11/2017 at Anganwadi, Halaga, Belagavi. The objective of the Under-five Assessment was to assess the nutritional status and Growth and Development. The number of children assessed was 14. The nutritional status and anthropometric measures of the children were assessed. In that children were undernourished, 2 were had dental caries, 2 of them had skin infections and all 5 of them were belongs to low socioeconomic background.
REPORT ON NATIONAL CLEANLINESS DAY
P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Department Of Community Health Nursing, organized national cleanliness day on 30/1/2018 at Government Primary School, Sharanmatti Village, Belagavi. The objective of the programme was to create awareness among School Children about national cleanliness day and its importance. As a part of this, Health Education and cleaned the main areas Sharanmatti Village. 4th year B.Sc Nursing Students of PDBCN, Halaga, Belagavi are involved in this event. Beneficaries of the programme were 52 School Chidren of Government Primary School Sharanmatti, Belagavi.

Swachha Bharat Summer Internship 100 hours programme conducted by Approved 02 Independent and self-Motivated Students Team of P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing Halaga, Belagavi from 21st May 2018 to 3rdJune 2018 at K.K. Koppa Village, Belagavi as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Human Resource Development in association with the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.

P.D.Bharatesh College of Nursing, Department of Community Health Nursing Organized World AIDS Day on 01/12/2017 at Government High School, Mastmardi, Belagavi. The objective of the programme was to create awareness among School Children about AIDS and its Prevention. As a part of this, Health Education and video show was organized on AIDS and Modes of Transmission, Diagnosis of Disease and its Preventionby 4th year B.Sc Nursing Students of PDBCN, Halaga, Belagavi and role play was organized by School Children of Government High School. Beneficiaries of the programme were 88 School Children of Government High School, Mastmardi,Belagavi.
REPORT ON WORLD IMMUNIZATION DAY
P.D.Bharatesh College of Nursing, Department of Community Health Nursing Organized World Immunization Day on 11/11/2017 at K.K.Koppa. The objective of the programme was to create awareness among mothers about immunization and its importance. As a part of this, Health Education was given on immunization and its importance in preventing the diseases by 4th year B.Sc Nursing Students of PDBCN,Halaga, Belagavi. Beneficiaries ofthe programme were 50 Antenatal and Postnatal mothers of Halaga, Belagavi.

P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Dept. of Medical-Surgical Nursing organized “Basic Life Support training programme” under Indian Academy of Pediatrics on 11th March 2018 at P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing. Halaga, Belagavi. Dr. VijaylaxmiKulgod, Dr. Sharad S, Dr. RoopaBellad, Dr. TanmayMetgud and Dr. Vishwanath M were the resource persons. The objectives of the programme were to recognize the victim who needs CPR and to perform high quality CPR and effective ventilation for an adult victim.
Diabetic Camp at Halaga,Belagavi…
P.D.Bharatesh College of Nursing’s Department of Medical Surgical Nursing and Department of Community Health Nursing organized “Diabetes Detection Camp” on the eve of “World Diabetes Day” on 14th Nov. 2017 at Halaga Village, Belgaum.
The objectives were –
- To assess Blood Sugar levels
- To create an awareness regarding prevention and treatment of diabetes
Chief Guest for the camp was Gram Panchayat Leader, Mr.SanjuDesai,Halaga
Total numbers of people screened above the age group of 40 years were 68 wherein, 21.76% were detected with high blood sugar levels. Health education regarding Diabetes Mellitus and its prevention was performed by B Sc Nursing students.

P.D.BharateshCollge of Nursing’s Department of Medical Surgical Nursing organized Guest Lecture by Chief Guest Dr. Ramesh P. Doddanavar Director, Deccan Medical Center, Belagagvion“Promising Dimension on Cardiovascular Managament” on 17th Feb. 2018 at 12 pm in college lecture hall.
The following topics were covered during the Guest Lecture;
- Common Cardiac and Vascular Diseases
- Major sighns and symptoms of cardiac disease.
- Different and aadvanced Diagnostic and Treatment Modalities of Cardiovascular Diseaese.
- Role of Nurse in Management of Cardiovascular Disease Management.
All the faculty from the department and 2rd and 3rd year B.Sc Nursing students were present for theGuest Lecture.

P D Bharatesh College of Nursing has organized rally on the occasion of Anti-Obesity Day at Halaga, village, Belagavi on 11/10/2017 to create awareness regarding prevention and control of obesity.

On the Eve of World Stress Awareness Day, Department of Mental Health Nursing Organized Health Education Programme on “Stress Management” on 10th Nov. 2017 at 03.30 pm at JRD High School, Halaga, Belagavi. Students of third Year B. Sc. Nursing delivered a health Education regarding; Prevention and Management of Stress in day-to-day life.
Report on International Nurses Day Celebration
International Nurses Day as a part of birthday of Miss. Florence Nightingale, founder of modern Nursing was celebrated on 11th may 2018 at 11.30 am at Auditorium, P D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi.
Later the theme of international Nurses day 2018; Nurses A Voice to Lead – Health is a Human Right” was unfolded by Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A Moreshwar, Principal, P D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi, emphasized that the success in any aspect of life is enacted by working from the bottom of the heart as like we can take it from the life of Miss. Florence Nightingale. Also, motivated the students to have a high visionary goals in their professional life by stressing that Nursing is a unique profession that focus on service oriented goal towards serving the mankind.
The programme was presided over by Shri Rajeev S. Doddanavar Secretary, Bharatesh Education Trust, Belagavi. Nurses were urged to get inspiration from the life of Florence and to reaffirm their pledged to give their best possible service for the cause of health service in the land in his inspirational speech.
Report on Annual Sports Meet-2018
On the 3rd to 5th of May, P D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi, hosted Annual Sports Meet-2018, a day filled with excitement experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers. An oath was administered to students to participate in the sports day with true sportsman spirit. This was followed by the Inter-House March Past, a highly competitive event where the three houses eyed for the first place. The audience next witnessed various displays symbolizing alternative sources of energy. At the end of the day, students departed with a clear smile on their faces as the Red House emerged as House Champions. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.
