Workshop on Scholarly Publishing Held at P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Belagavi.

A one-day workshop on “Scholarly Publishing: Writing a Research Paper” was successfully conducted on February 2, 2026, at P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Belagavi, with the objective of enhancing research writing skills among faculty members and students.
The programme was graced by Dr. B. V. Kathyayani, Professor-cum-Principal, NIMHANS College of Nursing, Bangalore, as the Chief Guest. In her keynote address, Dr. Kathyayani emphasized the importance of scholarly publishing, ethical research practices, and effective scientific writing. She highlighted key components of a high-quality research paper and guided participants on publishing in reputed journals.
The programme was presided over by Shri Shripal Khemlapure Sir, Vice Chairman, Bharatesh Education Trust, and Shri Bhushan Mirji, Treasurer, Bharatesh Education Trust, who encouraged faculty and students to actively engage in research and contribute to evidence-based nursing practice.
Dr. Savitri Dodannavar, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Director of Deccan Medical Centre, and Governing Council Chairperson, P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, also graced the occasion and motivated the participants to pursue quality research and publications in health sciences.
The workshop covered various aspects of research paper writing, including selection of research topics, structuring of manuscripts, referencing, plagiarism avoidance, and the peer-review process. The interactive sessions provided valuable insights and practical guidance to the participants.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the dignitaries, resource persons, organizers, and participants for making the workshop a grand success.
