A one-day workshop on “Scholarly Publishing: Writing a Research Paper” was successfully organized on February 2, 2026, at P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Belagavi, with the aim of strengthening research writing and publication skills among faculty members and students.
The programme was inaugurated in the august presence of Dr. B. V. Kathyayani, Professor-cum-Principal, NIMHANS College of Nursing, Bangalore, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In her keynote address, Dr. Kathyayani highlighted the significance of scholarly publishing, ethical research practices, and systematic scientific writing. She emphasized the role of quality research publications in advancing nursing education and healthcare practice.
The programme was presided over by Shri Shripal Khemlapure Sir, Vice Chairman, Bharatesh Education Trust, who encouraged faculty and students to actively engage in research and contribute to evidence-based practice.
Shri Bhushan Mirji, Treasurer, Bharatesh Education Trust, in his address, emphasized the Trust’s commitment towards promoting academic excellence and fostering a strong research culture through such academic initiatives.
Dr. Savitri Dodannavar, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Director of Deccan Medical Centre, and Governing Council Chairperson, P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, graced the programme and motivated the participants to pursue quality research and scholarly publications in healthcare sciences.
