P.D Bharatesh College of Nursing Halaga, Belagavi, Department of Community Health Nursing organized a Guest lecture on the occasion of World AIDS Day on 1st December 2021.
The objective of the Guest Lecture was to create awareness, fight prejudice and improve knowledge regarding Prevention of HIV /AIDS. The theme of Word ADIS Day for the year 2021 is “End Inequalities; End AIDS.” The guest speakers were Dr.Anil Korabu , Head of District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit, Belagavi, Mr.K .N Jahagiradar, District Supervisor, District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit, Belagavi and Mr.M. M Sanadi, District Supervisor, District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit, Belagavi.
Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A Moreshwar, Principal, P.D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi delivered the welcome address. Dr.Anil Korabu, highlighted the importance of observing world AIDS day every year. Mr.K .N Jahagiradar provided insight into working pattern of District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit, Belagavi and Mr. M. M Sanadi gave information about causes, transmission and prevention of HIV/AIDS.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.Ramangouda RH, Asst.Professor, P.D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi. Faculty, B.Sc & GNM Nursing students were benefited by this programme.
