P.D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi Department of Community Health Nursing along with NSS Unit organized Drawing competition and quiz competition on the occasion of World Health Day on 7th April 2022 at Government High School, Mastmardi under the guidance of Prof.Dr.Sangeeta A. Moreshwar, Principal, P.D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi.
In the face current pandemic, a polluted planet and incidence of diseases are increasing. The theme for World Health Day 2022 is “Our Planet, our Earth”. Air pollution, contaminated water, inadequate sanitation including solid waste management are related to certain health hazards and negative impacts of climate change are the most pressing environmental public health threats across the globe.
The programme started by lighting the lamp. Later drawing competition and quiz competitions was held for the high school students. 50 students have actively participated in the programme. Prize distribution was done at the end of the programme.
Around 80 high school students were benefited by this programme.
