P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing organized lamp Lighting & Oath taking ceremony of 16th Batch of B.Sc and 1st batch of GNM Nursing students on 25th January 2020 at 3:00 pm in Auditorium, Halaga, Belagavi. The programme began with an invocation song by the students and welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A. Moreshwar Principal, highlighted importance of nursing profession and compassion which the nursing personnel carries throughout their life towards sick and needy.
Chief Guest, Dr. Shashikant V M, District Health Officer, Belagavi, briefed about the learning & acquiring the basic nursing skills to practice nursing effectively. Dr. Basavaraj Metgud, Director of Kasbekar Metgud Clinic Belagavi, congratulated the budding students for choosing the Noble Profession.
The President of the function, Shri. Vinod S. Doddanavar G C Chairman, PDBCN addressed the gathering and motivated the students towards nursing profession by highlighting the existing scope of nursing, its future prospects and encouraged to have adequate knowledge & appropriate training to provide best possible nursing services to the needy. Shri.B.S. Chougule Joint-Secretary Bharatesh Education Trust, Belagavi, Dr.Savitri R. Doddanavar, Mr.Sandip Chipre, Mr.Surendra Shahapure, Governing council Members, Distinguished invitee’s, Head of Institution of Bharatesh education Trust’s, Belagavi and Parents of the budding students witnessed the programme. Mrs. Vijayalaxmi A H, Associate Professor, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, proposed the vote of thanks. Programme adjourned with National Anthem.
