NSS Unit of P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing Halaga, Belagavi had conducted “POSHAN PAKHWADA 2025” to focus on reduction of malnutrition through change of behavior at the individual and family level as well as at the society level. The activities are under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A. Moreshwar, Principal, P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing Halaga, Belagavi from 16thApril to 22ndApril 2025 at Dhamane village, Belagavi.
P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing organized lamp Lighting & Oath taking ceremony of 21st Batch of B.Sc and 6th Batch of GNM Nursing students on 21st March 2025 at 10:30 am in Auditorium, Halaga, Belagavi. The lamp lighting ceremony held as a tribute to Florence Nightingale – “The Lady with the Lamp”, which is an auspicious occasion in every nurse’s life and it formally declares the student’s desire and entry into the nursing profession. The program began with invocation music and welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A Moreshwar, Principal, PDBCN, Halaga, Belagavi. The Chief Guest Dr. Siddu Hulloli, KAS, Chief Administrative Officer, BIMS, Belagavi in his address, spoke about the importance of Nurses, in the life of every human being. Dr. Savitri R. Doddanavar G C Chairperson, PDBCN, Belagavi, highlighted on proactive approach of nurses towards patient and family members. Shri. Vinod S Doddanavar, Secretary, Bharatesh Education Trust, Belagavi, praised the students and elaborated that profession is the backbone of the medical care system. Prof. Mahesh M Rebinal, Vice-Principal & HOD, Department of Child Health Nursing, proposed the vote of thanks. Programme adjourned with National Anthem.

D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A Moreshwar, Principal, P.D Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi.
The program begun with invocation music followed by the welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Sangeeta A Moreshwar, Principal, P. D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi and also unfolded the theme for the International Nurses Day-2025 and emphasized that the Nurses are having boundless compassion and unwavering dedication, as indispensable in addressing patients’ complex needs. Chief Guest Dr. Pratibha Tejannavar, Consultant Obstetrician, Tejannavar Hospital, Belagavi, highlighted the crucial role Nurses play within the healthcare system, advocating for a profound change and appreciation of their own profession. Also, madam motivated the students to have high visionary goals in their professional life by stressing that Nursing is a unique and noble profession that focus on service oriented goal towards serving the mankind. The programme was presided over by Dr. Savitri R. Doddanavar, G C Chairperson, P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi, by adding presidential remark and enumerating about the significance of retaining skilled Nursing Professionals to ensure continuity and uncompromised quality of care in her inspirational speech.The program was adjourned with vote of thanks by Prof. Mahesh Rebinal, Vice-Principal, P.D. Bharatesh College of Nursing, Halaga, Belagavi at 12.30pm.
